Our annual membership meeting is scheduled for Saturday, October 24 at the Radisson Hotel in Madison, WI. It is tentatively scheduled for 4:15 pm. In addition, we have planned a special event for retirees on Friday, October 23 from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. We will be celebrating the 80th birthday of Social Security and the 50th birthday of Medicare. There will be a speaker, door prizes and more! We should have more details by next month.
We will also be recognizing new retiree members and giving a short overview of the Retirees Council. If you know of any recent retirees, you can send their name and contact information to one of the names listed below.
Our meetings will be occurring during the AFT-Wisconsin Annual Convention. There are other events during the AFT-W Convention that you may want to attend. If you are not a delegate, you can attend as a guest. Information about the AFT-W Convention will be posted on the AFT-W website at www.aft-wisconsin.org.
